- I'm writing this message because I'm preparing a national project proposal about fairness management in ML-intensive systems. In particular,
- _The project FRINGE (context-aware FaiRness engineerING in complex software systEms) studies solutions for engineering software fairness in the context of Machine Learning (ML)-Intensive systems. FRINGE wants to find novel solutions to the following challenges:_
- _- C1. Context-dependent definition of software fairness_
- _- C2. Multi-disciplinary context_
- _- C3. Data and feature heterogeneity_
- _- C4. Limited knowledge of fairness design and verification_
- _- C5. Continuously learning components_
- _These challenges must be addressed in a holistic manner, with an engineered approach that can address them by introducing proper methodologies, techniques, and tools. Defining such an approach is the main ambition of the FRINGE project._
- According to the call, "LEVEL OF RESEARCH INTERNATIONALIZATION" is among the evaluation criteria. To this end, we would like to set up an "advisory board" consisting of internationally well-known experts in the field. This is why I'm contacting you :-) Can we include your name on the advisory board? No particular commitments on your side; it would be great to just have your name in the list.
